He's starting to sound a little bit like Calvin Walls in terms of the type of overall impact he could have. The difference appears to be that Walls had some skills but struggled to understand how the game is played, but Hamilton needs to develop his skills.
I really hope Aaron Ellis can get his game together so Hamilton can redshirt.

I'm really hoping that GG decides to reshirt Jerome next year. With the way Ellis is starting to play it really opens up the chance for him to sit out a year. Next year we'll have Blair (Jr), Stutz (Soph), Durley (Jr), and Ellis (Jr). Together I think they could handle it. If JH we're to play next year he would probably have to play limited minutes for 2 seasons because no post player will graduate next season.
That's just what makes sense to me at this point but it may change depending on AE.

As long as Ellis keeps up the progress and intensity I think we'd all feel comfortable with Hamilton redshirting. The kid could contribute next year and will IF he has to. But with a RS he could end up being that much better.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

I don't think we really are going to know what our specific needs for next year til next year or whether our recruits are going to be ready to play a lot of minutes or a few. Hamilton may be ready to come in and start next year for all we know. I am sure the staff has covered this with Jerome but I don't want the message sent that we lack confidence that our recruits can produce immediately. You can play a lot of players in a game and if they are capable, it becomes very effective over the course of a season.

Interesting that Hamilton has a score of 89 on ESPN's site and Manigault's score is 86.
I agree that Hamilton should probably RS. No doubt the RS helped Paul Miller (medical) and PJ and both of them seem to have come here with more basketball skills than Hamilton currently has. Hamilton sounds like he could be really special, once he refines his skills, and the extra year could do wonders for him.
80-89: High Major Prospect
