I'm not surprised. WSU's offer was probably contingent upon somebody leaving is my guess. From a reliable source WSU became more interested in his teammate, Stuart Sullivan. This was when we were in obvious need of a SF. Seems like I also heard MSU is willing to let him play baseball.

I had him as probably going to the Bears sometime ago.

Stuart Sullivan - Not sure if he has his own thread, but he's a 6'7" shooting guard, originally from Pratt KS, transferred to Red Oak his senior year.

Yes he does. He been listed as a SF in the past. Has a good outside shot.

I was looking for some stats on MSU on the ESPN's Bears home page after the game and noticed that they had two other commitments for next year, both SGs. Now with Adams coming in, one might wonder if one or both of them stay committed to MSU. Having 3 SGs for your 2009 class sounds a little strange.

Nothing against Lane but I'm pretty happy with our recruiting class. This is from the springfield news leader.

We don't need another slow, unathletic kid.

Sub - Was this your impression of him at WSU's camp? I thought he looked pretty d*m* good in that video.

He's far from a slow, unathletic kid. He was easily one of the top performers at the camp. I'd probably have put him in the top 3 of the seniors to be with KJ and Hamilton. We got the other two.

MSU got a player and one that I'm sure will go off on us at least a couple of times. Hopefully our firepower will be more powerful that the Bears.

another? Just wondering which slow and unathletic kid you are talking about that is on our team right now.

                      Huh?

I don't recall Adams being thought slow and unathletic, either. What say you, Sub?

Questionable because of the level of his competition, yes. But a similar criticism about competition could have been leveled against another guy who got some attention on here a while back, Keiton Page, an even bigger scorer from a smaller (though not Red Oak small) school who ended up at Oklahoma State.

By the way, in case anyone ever wondered "Where are they now?" about him, Page (listed at 5-10 and 168 on the OSU website) is currently their top weapon off the bench, ranking fifth on the team in both minutes (24/game) and scoring (9.5/game). As I recall, Page was reported on here as having some serious hops, so he would not have been unathletic. But I just don't remember that Adams was supposedly deficient in that regard, either.

I believe there's an article linked somewhere on here about Adams having a 40+ inch verticle. And he was quick enough to play D on just about everyone he went against at the camp.

And you're right about Page Watcher. That kid would have been nice to have in the black and gold. I believe we were close...

We need some people who can put the ball in the hole, even if they are slow and unathletic.

He is a good athlete and is said to have a 42" vertical. I watched his AAU team ( Oklahoma Elite ) play last year in the MAYB Nationals. He is a nice player but his team was handled by a Wichita team and he was not the best player on the court that day.
