A friend of mine in OK seems to think this kid is the next good SG out of OK...he told me "A slightly less athletic JR Giddens, sans the off-court problems" Take that FWIW.

In February he was averaging 35 ppg for his class B high school team. He plays AAU with Oklahoma Elite. In the only two games I have found so far, he scored 4 points in each of them. However, he is going back and forth between the Elite's games and leading his HS baseball team in the State tournament.

He played well in the Real Deal on the Hill tourney. Noted as a floor leader, he impressed with his vision and control of the offense.

He also averaged 8 rebounds last year and shoots 90% from the FT line.

I really liked this kid today. So did the guy I was sitting with. By far one of the better performances that I saw. He played some pretty decent D and has a sweet stroke. Also blocked a couple of shots and stole many more. This kid can play!

Sub how did you know who each one where and did they get some coaching or just scrimmage and was any of our players their. Is there any way you can give us a list.

Lane has received an offer from the Shockers. Central Arkansas also offered.

It could very well be that it is a baseball scholorship that we have offered as he is pre-season all state all classes as an outfielder hitting 400 someting with 6 home runs last year. He is a scout one star in basketball

He's no one star. I'd guess Scout hasn't been watching. He was easily one of the better players invited to the Specialty Camp.

It would be very unusual for the basketball coach to report baseball offers. Many of our offers are to players who so far have no stars on Rivals and/or Scout. I think you can be assured that he was referring to a basketball scholarship offer.

I will trust the coach, Sub and reports on the internet that Lane is a player. He is 18 so is not playing AAU. He gets coverage from Oklahoma sites but don't expect anything nationally until he blows up this Fall if left unsigned.

It was his basketball coach reporting the offers. I think he would have mentioned if it were outside his sport.

Found this article from January saying he's a 90% FT shooter while averaging 26 points and 8 boards.

Here's one from last July that says he has a 42 inch vertical.
