We could "Hi-Low" the Valley to death with a 6'10 PF with 7'+ reach and a 7' center.

With all this talk of inside presence, outside consistent shooters are going to be imperitive. Even Mr. Hatch may become a valuable asset in sets.

Expect Udoh to end up closer to home. He has said that he would like his family to be able to see him play more. He went home a couple of weeks before making his final decision about transferring. Perhaps during that time he made contact with our staff and checked out WSU with A.J.???

Beilien at Michigan doesn't emphasis defense. It's been said that Udoh defensive honors are due to his own pride in playing defense and taking up the slack for his teammates' mistakes. I hope Udoh realizes the defensive player he could be under coach Marshall and staff. He's already very good without much coaching emphasis. At WSU he would be an absolute beast. I'm sure his points will come also.

Michigan fans are pretty upset about him leaving. In a blog, the opinion was expressed that Michigan lost the one player they couldn't. There is not much doubt about this one, the guy is a player. I certainly see why we might be holding on tight to the last scholarship if Udoh is interested.

It was hard to tell how much interest was there. From what I recall there was some. But Michigan was in the picture pretty early and he really wanted that offer. When it came it was all done.

If he wants to be close to home we're as good a choice as any. Although it wouldn't surprise me to see him end up at one of the the schools to our south.

If Udoh were to come here, we'd have to push for Amtrak from OKC to ICT. Then the parents could get on in Edmond and ride up here and then back. Just a thought.

                        pic of Epke Udoh

He did have shoulder surgery in 2005 for a torn muscle.

Udoh has recently visited Oklahoma and Oklahoma State. Although he doesn't have other visits currently scheduled he says he will be visiting other schools. Arkansas, Baylor, "and a couple of other schools" have also expressed interest.

A best friend and former high school teammate is a current player at OSU. However he seems focused on doing what is best for his basketball future. Expect a early June decision.

In addition to the schools already mentioned, Udoh is considering Kansas State and Texas A&M.
