Justin Clark-Verbal to Illinois State

It didn't take long for Clark to move from the "...to keep an eye on..." thread to his own. Word from Scout is that WSU, Nebraska, Santa Clara, Evansville, Baylor, Missouri, Illinois State and Clemson are interested. He is a 6-5 SG at Independence, Mo. Plays for KC Pump and Run. Seems like he was rated just ahead of Stutz this year by Missouri Sports at #15. Class of 2009.

Clark's recruitment might really blow up. Making inquiry are UCLA, Georgetown and Marquette.

There was a blurb on him in the Sabes Invite Preview. He has quite a list of schools and apparently led KC high schools in scoring at 26ppg.

Baylor, Clemson, GT, KSU, Marquette, Mizzou, aTm and Virginia are looking according to Rivals.

They show offers from UE, Santa Clara, ISU (red), SWOMO, Wichita State, Wisc-GB, Fairfield and SEMO.

He was KC All-Metro 2nd team averaging 25.6 ppg.

Averaged 25 points a game as a junior. He is planning to take some unofficial visits this summer. Hopefully we will get one. He will also participate in several elite camps in June. KSU's will be one of them.

He's getting a lot of looks now. Quite a bit of talk about Baylor, but WSU was also mentioned as being on him hard.

From the article posted by Sub, I get the feeling we have been on Clark for sometime. Hopefully that is true and it well help. Clark has already visited WSU (unofficial of course) along with Missouri State and Santa Clara.

Among the late comers besides Baylor, also making strong pushes are Texas A&M and Marquette.

Saw Justin play some today. He's not too shabby. A good athlete with a very nice looking shot. Definitely one to keep an eye on.

Clark made a good impression on Hoopscoops while in Vegas. They ranked the top 100 performers in the three tournaments that included over 700 players. Clark was ranked #39. That's 11 notches better than his teammate Mike Dixon.

Clark joined teammate Jon Ekey in taking an unofficial to Illinois State over the weekend.

Clark is leaning to Illinois State and a decision is expected very soon.

Sounds like Illinios St. might be loading up. Good for them. Not so good for the rest of the MVC, unless you look at the increase in overall quality.

This is great for the 'Birds and The Valley. A stronger ISU helps everyone and thier fans deserve it. If they get Clark, then lets get Adams.
