Tony Crisswell to Missouri

A 6-9 PF, class of 2009 from Midwest City Oklahoma (Westmoore High). He has interest from the Shockers, Tulsa, Southern, UNLV and Oklahoma. Looks like he probably averaged around 13 a game last year. He is playing AAU with Texas Select.

Criswell reports that the Shockers have offered. Also offering are UTEP, Oral Roberts and Missouri State. However Criswell has three favorites and only UTEP is among the current offers. The other two favorites are Nevada and Iowa State.

It appears that Tony is more in the 6-7 to 6-8 range and will probably be a SF in college.

Someone explain to me how this works when we have offers of a schollie out to potential players, and yet we are full of schollies for 09-10.

I am a little confused about what occurs if the player accepts the schollie when we are already at the max.

Just because an offer has been extended at some point doesn't mean it's 100% guaranteed. Most/many are conditional based upon whatever else happens. Some won't be accepted because of who else is committed. They can't accept an offer if we're full and the coachings staff tells them we can't. It can be accepted however if the staff is pretty sure things will change and a spot opens up. That's also why we offer more than 3 or 4 people every year.

The offer appears to have been made in July or before. Think about it. Do you still think that the offer stands? Maybe but I doubt it.

From the Bear's board: Missouri State is going hard after Crisswell. The word in the Fall was none of his offers were firm.
