Probably not, because you know they still want a PG, and there are only six openings anticipated at this point, with four commitments if they all sign. So two would be two many, and three would cause the counters' heads to explode.

Rhoden, Naylor, Allen, Johnson... who's it gonna be?

When you look at it that way, seeing others commit elsewhere is no big deal -- still lots of good choices, and not nearly enough space for all of them.

I would happily take any of those four. Would prefer one of the high-schoolers, but the Juco kids can really play too!

Not only do I like all 4 of these players, allow me to add another twist to this. Let's say we get Lomax which would be awesome and leave us 1 Ship. Also, is Reggie Chaney still coming in here Oct. 14-15 for an Official visit? While RC is a 4 I think, could he also play the 3 too? If so, if we get Lomax and at least 2 of these other 5 players wanted to sign, should the Shocks go a ship over for now in case MM or LS go Pro? Then if they stay (hope so), then they figure out a way to deal with it? The ship police here on SN could go bonkers in endless speculation how that overage would be rectified. Please advise.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

That would be a lot easier to answer if we had a couple of scholarship players at the bottom of the depth chart who might be borderline players. But as far as I can tell everyone we have on scholarship at this point is capable of contributing to this team now or in the near future. This is where the intimate inside knowledge the coaches have with their teams is essential to being able to make these decisions intelligently. That leaves me out.

I love me some Reggie Chaney, but Udeze and Chandler make him very unlikely. Dude is a straight up PF.

agree, we need a stretch 4 or a slasher 3 that can shoot from the outside

Chaney was my guy, but agreed that we need a point and a small forward. Any of the guys we are on would have been the star of many recruiting classes of the past. Lomax or Alvarez would be good. I'd rather have 6'1" over 5'10", but I would rather have Fred than Adam Liberty, so there's that.

FVV would probably be offended to be called 5-10, but otherwise a very sage observation.

It may be a matter of who commits first, or there may be some Plan A/Plan B stuff going on -- but in any case, we'll probably hear the commitment news soon, and then we'll be finding out in about a month for sure.

I'm thinking Seton Hall and Penn State might be the favorites. There hasn't been a lot to go on, though.

Is that last school a distant cousin to St. Louis?
