“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Is this Ryan Herrs' son? I believed Ryan played at WSU in the early 1990's for Scott Thompson; I assume he's still coaching?

Jacob is a good kid, he's friends with my son who also went to Andover. It's not easy being a scout team guy at WSU, you have to learn our offense and opponents offense. Kind of a thankless job but I would expect Jacob to be up to it.

Enjoyed the way he uses the backboard on angle shots.

In the first two minutes, I noticed that on catch-and-shoot, Jacob NEVER reset his feet and made at least five with feet in five different positions. That, to me, is surprising,

Athletics here are crazy! My eldest son is 8. In his class there are three basketball teams, three soccer teams, and two baseball teams that play year round high tournament level competition in Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Nebraska. These teams hold tryouts. They also, of course, run rec leagues at the Y. Most of the tourney kids don't play in the rec leagues. Then they have a traveling track and football team (no tryouts) along with two week basketball clinics in the winter and summer.

My son plays on the #2 soccer team and they won the gold division spring league in Wichita. The #1 team from McPherson didn't play this spring because so many basketball kids were playing tournaments.
