  • Georgetown transfer Akoy Agau, 6'8"

We had interest in this Omaha kid out of HS. He will graduate, be eligible immediately, with two seasons remaining

Like an upgraded version of a JUCO transfer. If that's the route they chose to go, vs freshman or 3-year guy, this would be optimal. Already has two years of high level D1 experience vs a JUCO guy.

I'm a little concerned due to the fact he has transferred twice now...and was suspended at UL for what was called a "minor" attitude issue....hmmmm

Good point, Shurtz -- this may or may not be the specific guy, especially given WSU's depth among its bigs next season, but there's no question just in general that a graduate transfer with two years left is the ideal combination. You see it more in football, where redshirting even talented players who were highly recruited is more common than in basketball, but once in a while a chance will arise.

Whatever else can be said of him, Agau appears to be a very good foul shooter for a big man, and a pretty effective rebounder (4.5 / game in just over 15 minutes of PT).

We rerecruited him too after he transferred to GU. We can do better.
