Most Jucos don't have the broad selection of classes that some places line UNC have where an athlete can find selections more in line with his aptitude and interests.

But what you do find are teachers who are willing to go the extra mile for the disadvantaged students. If he was willing to put in the effort off the court, grades wouldn’t have been an issue no matter what classes he was taking.

      • Maybe grades weren't the reason. That was one Tulsa fan speculating that grades may have been the reason. Tulsa may have just not wanted him any longer, pulled his scholarship or told him that he wasn't going to play with the new recruits they had signed. The fan certainly wasn't excited about him any longer and felt they had found better players.

        • If he had been at Hutch when Gene Keady was there, grades would not have been a problem.......
