From his guardian, who is also his coach (the FedEx Forum is Memphis' home court):

We gonna be in the FedEx Forum, and it's gonna be kinda quiet in there, except for the Wichita State fans, and we gonna be loud

He's gonna find the hardest working guy at Wichita State and he's gonna get in the gym and work harder than that guy

He's gonna be a 4-year starter at Wichita state if he red shirts this year

Steve Prohm said Iowa State will not use its final scholarship for the 2017-18 season and will enter the season with 12 on scholarship.

Wow. Bet their fan base thinks that being able to find 13 players is overrated.

Brown said he expects to play the 3, but he can play the 4, and he can defend the 2, the 3, or the 4.

After the coach (who's now his guardian) found him, his Mom asked the coach if Rodgerick could live with him to get him out of the inner city in Memphis. A brother of his had gotten into some problems and his Mom wanted Rodgerick to get out of that environment, since Rodgerick had a bright future if he could stay out of trouble. He's been living with that guardian for the last 4 years.

His guardian needed another post player on his AAU team, and heard about a guy that was only described to him as "there's this tall guy".

Interestingly, his mentor was semi-advocating for a RS. It will be interesting to see if Brown or Midtgaard (Keyser as a sophomore) can assert themselves enough to get 10 mpg (roughly what Cotton and Reaves got as freshman).

Good observations; IMO both Brown and Midtgaard are going to prove themselves capable of capturing 10 mpg this season.
