Every weekend it seems like the player that blows up the most is always a Shocker recruit. This weekend it was Amanze Ngumezi. Just this weekend he earned offers from Illinois, Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech and Georgia with probably more to come.

Perhaps the biggest "blow up" in this period is 6-9, 235 PF Amanze Ngumezi. Let the floodgates open.

247 Sports talked with Amanze today. They moved him up to #64 in their rankings after this weekend. http://247sports.com/Bolt/Amanze-Ngu...anta-105432521

Amanze says that WSU, Georgia, Clemson, Florida Gulf Coast and UAB are recruiting him the hardest.

"I’d say Georgia, Wichita state, Clemson, Tennessee, and Georgia tech are really making me a priority," noted Ngumezi. "Other schools like Georgia Southern, UAB, and Georgia State also say I am at the top of their recruiting board."

"As of right now I have four visits set up," said Ngumezi. "I have Georgia September 1-3, Tennessee September 11-14, Wichita State September 22-24, and I have UAB I believe 11-13. I am still debating my last official visit."

"Me being from Savannah, going to Georgia would be big," said Ngumezi. "Everyone here wants to go to Georgia and people grow up watching the Bulldogs. Them offering a scholarship was really big for me, and there is no doubt that I have to take a visit there."

"The interest I have in Wichita State is high," noted Ngumezi. "They call me every other day, and Donnie Jones tells me about the players he has coached and developed that are in NBA. He tells me that they see my full potential and how I could reach it there. Also he says they have a top 10 team now, and they want players like me to continue to build the program and keep it at that level."

Good size.........could eventually be a beast with KR working on him.
Reminds me of EH but probably more talented. I think he would see
the court a lot here. Hope he puts an emphasis on WINNING over
home town and signs with us !

Georgia will probably try to seal the deal soon after his visit. If he gives us a chance Ggg, the team, and Donnie will be difficult to turn down.

AN is more polished and ready to play than EH.

Not sure the point of releasing a cut list when you've already planned official visits, but here is Amanze's Top 7. https://twitter.com/kiingsliimm/stat...82372006076416

If he can make it out of his Georgia visit without committing, I like also really like our chances. But Georgia certainly has the advantage right now.

Just committed to Georgia on his official visit. You got the feeling this was a kid who wanted to stay home all along. Unfortunate because it seemed like we were the second horse in the race.

Almost seems critical now that we get Udeze.
