It would appear that Josh Roberts could perhaps be in the class of 2017. http://www.maxpreps.com/athlete/josh...Wg/default.htm

Most sites are recognizing him as a class of 2018 and that he's moving to Montverde Academy next season. Not sure if they have a Prep team like Sunrise or if they just play high school ball.

That is not what you want to hear from you especially in the field you work in.

Just a hunch. I think this is our guy for the last scholarship.

Josh Roberts, the 6-foot-9, 201-pound big man from Montverde (FL) Academy, will take his first official visit to St. John’s Sept. 1-3. “I got a St. John’s visit coming up next month,” he said. “I don’t see myself committing just yet so I will be taking other visits. ”Ranked the No. 86 small forward in the Class of 2018 by 247Sports.com, Roberts listed Auburn, Florida Gulf Coast, Troy and Wichita State as the other schools recruiting him the hardest.

@shocks02 do you have any updates on Josh? Physically appears to be in the Markis McDuffie mold.

Looks like we're still on him. He's attending Monteverde Academy in Florida for a prep year, along with Morris Udeze. He's more of a power forward/center. Shot-blocker and rebounder with athleticism.

Josh just committed to St. John's. This was a player I thought we still had a shot to sign. The number of bigs high on our priority list is dwindling quickly. I believe the coaching staff is focusing on Bryan Penn-Johnson, Dimon Carrigan, Reggie Chaney, Morris Udeze, Vincent Lee and Grayson Carter along with a few jucos. A signing of any one or two of those guys would give this recruiting class a big lift.
