  • Sylvain "Frenchie" Francisco - 6'0" PG 2017 - Offered

This looks like one of those quick recruiting efforts to fill Smith's scholarship, as he's a 2017. According to his Verbal Commits profile he is a 3-star with offers from Arkansas, Texas, K-State, Murray State, Wyoming and Rhode Island.

This would seem to be the work of Donnie Jones.

Stats from last weekend's Adidas Gauntlet. Averaged 9 points and 3 assists per game. http://adidasuprising.com/gauntlet-s...sion-schedule/

I checked his page on 247sports and all the recruiting schools they list show an interest level of "cool", as if they have all backed off.

A couple of posts on the Arkansas board speculate he may not be NCAA qualified.

Offers from UMass and Pitt yesterday. Not sure any of his other offers would be relevant at this point.

If interest level from other schools are "cool" I suspect it's for
scholastic or deportment concerns and not talent or athletic
ones. Regardless, I trust our coaches.

Damn. Dude has deep range, nice handles, and big time athleticism. Getting him this late in the game would be a steal.

Here's a question for someone who has the time to research it....

Does the AAC accept partial qualifiers? Not sure if it'll apply or not in this case but I've heard there are different rules about qualifying in different conferences.

                          But he's not left handed...

                          Honestly this kid looks great.

Hopefully his nationality and prep school experience won't be a hindrance to being eligible.

I thought the "cool" rating was based on the recruits interest in the school, not the other way around.
