Kaden Archie is a 6'6 SG/SF from Midlothian, TX. We've actually had this kid in the 2018 Recruiting thread for about a week but wanted to confirm Wichita State's interest from another source. Rivals confirms WSU is showing interest along with LSU, SMU, TCU, Oklahoma State and Mizzou. Offers from Boise State, UT-Arlington, Tulsa, Stephen F Austin and Incarnate Word. Kaden's recruitment has taken off at the Adidas Uprising in Dallas this weekend. Through his first three games he's averaging 17 ppg, 3 apg and 3 rpg. Rivals says he could end up as a Top 100 player in their rankings. He's a relative unknown by the other services but he won't be for much longer.

Coaches are going after this kid hard. If I was a betting man, I'd be betting an offer comes soon. He'll be hard to lure away from Texas, who offered yesterday.

“I’m hearing the most from Texas, LSU, Florida, Wichita State and Illinois,” Archie said, before breaking down what he likes about each of them.

Texas: “I like coach Shaka Smart and his intensity. He makes you ready to play basketball and makes me feel like I’m a top priority.”
LSU: “They’ve been telling me I can come in and play right away. They’re telling me I can make a huge difference.”
Florida: “I hear from coach (Mike) White almost every day. He’s been talking to me, telling me what I need to work on.”
Wichita State: “I hear from the coaching staff a lot and they love me. They call me every day and have me as a high priority.”
Illinois: “Coach (Brad) Underwood recruited me at Oklahoma State and once he got to Illinois it was the same thing. He said he loves my game and intensity.”
Archie is in no rush to make a decision.
“I haven’t put a timetable or anything,” he said. “The recruiting process is still kind of new to me so I’m trying to take my time.”
