No one has ever said that on this board! The good news is that we have Roderick and Erik at the 2/3!

I took the @shockmonster: comment as tongue-in-cheek and perhaps a bit satirical. But perhaps my meter is broken.

Losing him to any one of the schools would not be an embarrassment. Wasn't the thinking that Northwestern was probably leading the pack for this young man? In any case, if 3G thought he was going to land every player he pursued he wouldn't making a 10 offers (or more) for each available scholarship he has.

The culling has begun and it will continue for the next couple of months.

I also took his comments as tongue in cheek. I liked it!

Kopp would project at the same position(s) as Brown, and Brown has not been shy about wanting to be a 4-year starter by taking a red shirt this year. That can be discouraging to similar recruits who would be in his class, but a year behind him in working with Marshall's system.

No surprise to me; I always felt Kopp is more focused on academics than basketball - similar to Bill Bradley going to Princeton rather than one of the Blue Bloods who were actively recruiting him.

I wish him luck in his career as an attorney.

It does seem as though the mutual interest had cooled, and I suspect he'll end up at a school more known for academics than its current basketball prowess., although Michigan does a reasonable job of combining the two.

Vanderbilt is most likely, then Northwestern

I'm usually pretty interested in learning where our current and former targets end up.
