We need to sign a crap ton of forwards and centers from the 2018 class.
Allen played the same position as CJ Kaiser, Brown, and McDuffie. SHJ (he is 5'11) plays the same position as Conner and Daishon who can also play the 2. Landry and Reaves play the 2position and can play the point. With our top 10-12 players returning, adding another player doesn't make sense unless someone is injured during the summer or next year. Someone will have to RS unless something happens.

I think it's possible that redshirts could be happening less and less with the way Marshall uses players. Now if Marshall starts playing only 8 or 9 players each game, then I could see potential redshirts. But with the way it is now, I don't see it happening.

Of course, a player can always redshirt on his own.

What you are saying is that SHJ will take over JR Simons 13th player position and Mittgard will take over maybe the 11th or 12th. 11-13 get very few minutes this year and will get no more next year with all of our returning players.

In 2018/19 we will have at most (depending on transfers) 4 returning big men, AM, Duff, Hamilton, & Barney. I include Barney because he did have a couple of low D1 offers and the possibility exists that he could become a role player by then. Mixed in with that group will be 3 or 4 freshmen & jucos. We may need McDuffie to play a lot of the 4 which will open up time at 3.

Samajae redshirts his first year and has 18/19 & 19/20. Landry, Austin or both spend time at the 3 spot with CJ.

So you end up with something like the following depth chart.

          PG SHJ, AR
          SG AR, LS
          SF LS, CJK
          PF MM, BB
          C AM, EH

Sprinkle in the Freshmen/jucos wherever you want.
This was my thinking as well.

Was he required to do simple basketball things like dribble? I have seen KU fans very impressed with players that lack these very basic skills.

Remember who's coaching him, dizzle -- our old board favorite. It would be very surprising for Samajae not to be pretty sound fundamentally.

“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

Its a good landing if you can walk away, its a great landing if the plane can be reused the next day.
