          From Jeff *******
Buffalo transfer Lamonte Bearden told ESPN he definitely intends to visit Oregon and Wichita State. May take one more visit as well.

Who said anything about worrying. It's the offseason, so speculation is about all there is to do. Sorry if that doesn't fit your idea of what a fan forum is for. Not really though.

Some of those highlights are against Bowling Green.

              Outside of that?

Well he was a Bobby Hurley recruit out of high school and McDuffie was coached by the elder Hurley in high school, so I suppose it is a possible connection, but couldn't say for sure.

I'm not concerned about scholarships. My concern is that I think Marshall can recruit a better value in either a 2-year of 4-year player.

3 years of a scholarship to get 2 years of production out of a 28% 3-pt. shooting PG- I don't consider thaqt a home run. I think Marshall can do better. Bearden got his D1 stats in a league that isn't known for its' guard play the way the Valley is known for guard play.

Bearden has decent percentages inside the arc, but in the Valley, I'm afraid D's would just back off to prevent penetration and leave him open for 3's. A/TO ratio isn't impressive against D's that I think are weaker than he'd see in the Valley.

If he comes here - I'm on board with it. I think Marshall can do better considering the requirement for 3 years of scholarship for 2 years of eligibility.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Here are Bearden's stats in games against Duke, Iowa State, VCU, and Miami (FL), the first 3 on the road and Miami in the NCAAs:

Points FG 3FG FT Rebounds Assists TO Steals Blocks
                    Duke 10 2-4 0-1 6-8 2 3 1 0 0
                    Iowa State 11 5-16 0-4 1-1 1 3 1 0 1
                    VCU 12 1-5 0-0 10-13 1 3 6 0 0
                    Miami 19 7-16 1-4 4-6 3 3 4 1 0
There are a couple bad stats mixed in there (shooting at Iowa State, turnovers at VCU), but not bad production for a sophomore against quality opposition, particularly since none were at home and the one neutral site game came with NCAA pressure.

Not that I'm opposed to second chances but.....

                        And

I am not naive enough to think smoking weed is a rarity amongst college students but it also doesn't need to be a required food group. Hopefully he can at least figure out what's more important in his life for the rest of his college career.

OK, so did he go to high school or did he go to school high?

That first link said Buffalo restricted who he could transfer to... and I don't see WSU as a place they said he could transfer to.
