  • Carte'Are Gordon 6'8 PF/C 2018 to St. Louis

It appears 2018 recruiting has started to pickup. We should have a bevy of scholarships available in this class - 7 as of now (we know this always changes).

The latest name to appear is Saint Louis, MO native Carte'are Gordon. Carte'are is a consensus 4 and 5 star prospect according to all of the recruiting services. He is ranked at #20 by Rivals, #24 by ESPN and #31 by 247Sports. Scout currently lists interest from WSU. Carte'are has offers from Kansas, Texas, Iowa St, USC, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, K-State, Mizzou, Illinois, Iowa, UNLV, Cincinnati, St. Louis, and Purdue. Interest from Stanford, SMU, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Vanderbilt and Virginia.

It appears the coaching staff may spend more time recruiting the next tier of recruits for this 2018 class given the recent interest in Gordon, Kamaka Hepa and Valdir Manuel.

So are we skipping 2017 recruiting?

Back in January I had bought advance tickets to this thing called the MFA Oil Shootout largely so that I could watch the matchup between Columbia Father Tolton (featuring Michael Porter Jr and his brother Jontay) and Vianney (with Gordon). About two days before the game, he quit the Vianney basketball team. Wasn't there. He's apparently a giant headcase.

Carte'are cut his list to 11 schools recently. WSU did not make the cut. https://twitter.com/BLUEChip_Miller/...62208855322624

What kind of shoes does he prefer?
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

                        Commits to St. Louis.

Travis Ford is really bringing some top recruits in. They just received a commit from 2017 Top 150 Hasahn French this last week. Does anyone know how long the series with St. Louis is extended through? The Billikens look to be trending up, and fast.

$$$. 100% guarantee. SLU is definitely playing dirty with the St. Louis Eagles and the whole STL AAU scene.

Travis will recruit well as he did at Okie Lite but will struggle to put that all together. He didn't set the world on fire at UMASS and he won't challenge the upper tier of the A10 this go around either.

Perhaps still a head case, as it is being reported by Rothstein he is transferring.
