  • Ron was definitely not 'wiry', at least not by his sophomore season. The dude was a beast.

I remember talking to him as a RS freshman. While not skinny he wasn't Charles Atlas either. Semantics, always causing problems.

Def. - Wiry: lean, tough and sinewy.
Where oh where is our T. Boone Pickens.

Great question. Crossed my mind as well.

It could be that Reaves lighter frame may be an advantage. He'll certainly add some muscle mass considering his age, but he's not going to have to get up to the 200 lb. range. Bumping people off routes on D isn't allowed any more and that was a big reason to have more physical perimeter players.
Perhaps you missed the 2016 NCAA Basketball Championship Final 4.

ARShocker can you confirm the rumors I am hearing that Austin is no longer wearing a sling and has begun basketball specific exercises to strengthen his arm?

                • Dear ARShocker,
Any idea what Austins bench, squat, clean numbers are like? Or just his strength profile in general. In my opinion he's got the skills necessary to contribute immediately but he definitely looks skinny. Skinny doesn't necessarily mean weak, though. Also, is he a willing defender? Thanks!

My NW Arkansas sources purport that Austin is more than capable on the defensive end of the court. According to them his willingness to be coached is one of his major assets.

                        • Athletically I agree! Heart and willingness? We'll see. The good signs are definitely there. But that's what makes college basketball and in particularly a Gregg Marshall program such fun! Basketball at its purest form.

If they aren't near their ceilings, why wasn't Coach Marshall able to get them at least closer? Or were they just not matured enough yet?
