  • Or could be Darius (not questioning your wife) because he's in town with Fred.

Fred, Ron, Carter, Clevin and Joe all in town now. Pick up games are strong. Clev is a beast.

I thought that, but she knows who DC is and what he looks like, so I'm pretty sure it's not him. I'll be taking my daughter tomorrow, so I'll know better then. As for those pick up games, I'd love to be a fly on the wall for just one of them. I'd love a chance to see FVV vs. Clevin, or any number of other matchups.

          • My 9-yr old grandson attended Ron's camp at the Andover Y this afternoon. He had a blast. Said it was his best day ever (worth the $45 bucks just for that).

Ron's Mom, Ranae, was helping out with my grandson's group. She told them she taught Ron everything he knows about basketball.

Darral Willis was also helping out. I told my wife that reports are that he is an absolute beast on the floor. She said, well I don't know about that but his is a really, really nice young man.

I said that's what 3G likes. All-Americans on and off the court.

Good to hear about Mr. Willis! I look forward to watching him play.

Can we say that Ron's mom...RON'S MOM...would know how to shot fake?

              • A minor correction. It wasn't Ron's mom who said she taught Ron how to play the game, it was Ron who told the kids that.

Also, the best team from each age group got to scrimmage against Ron, Fred and Darral. My wife took a video of small portion of that. Darral threw one down on the 9-year olds (as I said a beast on the court) and Ron knocked down a half court shot.

Well, at least we know how he'll compete against 75% of the Valley!

                  • My daughter also attended the camp both days. Ron and Fred are...well, Ron and Fred. She absolutely loved it. In fact, she said it was "life changing." I don't think she really knows what that means, but she had a great time. As for Darral, he was great with the kids as well as the parents, and will be a great ambassador for WSU the next couple of years. I told my wife that he has the biggest smile since Cle. You can tell he just really loves the game.
