    • So many possibilities to line-ups next Season. Could this ever happen in a match-up where we want to eat glass with true grit? 1.Shamet 2.Brown 3.Duff 4.Willis 5. Shaq? Maybe it could but how about this? 1.Shamet 2.CF 3. Brown 4.Duff 5.Shaq. I think the second one could happen often because Brown and Duff need to be on the floor often and even together. Kerry would like to assist Duff in gaining 20 pounds of muscle. Our second 5 could be similar scary to our foes in the rotation process which is a trademark of Gregg Marshall teams.

Can't wait to see some summer scrimmages which would shed more light on this. I am not 100% sure we won't sign a solid Juco big just for grins and then these variables have to be looked at some more. You know the drill. Clean shaving, ship counting, and recruiting is a daily thing in the Marshall Plan.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

      • Forevershockerfan presented two great line up possibilities. I have to admit Conner has been putting forth defensive effort and been scrappy with some rebounding. It will be interesting to see if he can get the offensive swagger he needs to produce in order to earn major minutes. I'm sure that is why he came back to join the program.
Coach Marshall might have some young players that can sneak up on an opponent again as they have prepared to try and slow Ron and Fred for four years. Fred sure made us proud after playing a back up role to M. Armstead his freshman year.

          • I'm excited to have Darral Willis on campus. Watching his mix tape again he reminds me of a cross between Early and Carter. He's going to be a very important player for us the next 2 years. He's gonna provide athleticism at the 4 that we were missing last year. Should make for some nasty battles this summer.

I'm excited too. Spelling his name right would be a great way to greet him.

              • He really does look like a 4. Hope most of his minutes are there but not counting on it.

I'm excited about Willis too! I could see him playing the 4, but I don't think he can stretch the floor enough. Look for him and Shaq to team up in the middle.

From social media posts I've seen, it looks like he prefers "Darral" (his spelling) to "Darrlyn"
“The rebellion on the populist right against the results of the 2020 election was partly a cynical, knowing effort by political operators and their hype men in the media to steal an election or at least get rich trying. But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

He will join a long list of players that had names that were mis-spelled during their career. Toure Murray would be proud.

Watch his mix tape. He has much more range than Rashard Kelly. I'm not sold that he's a 5 at WSU.

He was 0-2 from 3 last year whereas RK was 6-19, so I'm gonna hafta disagree.

I guess you didn't watch RKs other shots. Don't quit your job to become a scout.

So, I'm going to restate my original opinion a little differently in order to add clarity:

Based on what I've seen, HCGM expects his 4s to shoot 3s. Rashard is capable of shooting threes enough to keep the defense honest. I have not seen anything from Willis that leads me to believe he is capable of hitting shots beyond 18 foot. Other recent 6-8 athletes that didn't shoot many threes at WSU: Anton Grady, Darius Carter, Carl Hall. While these players had some power forward skills, they mainly played the five.

I'm fine if you disagree with my assessment, but please don't tell me to watch a highlight video and then tell me I can't assess talent in consecutive posts, all the while contributing no evidence For your dissenting opinion..
