At 7'3", in 8th grade, some of the moves he's making are pretty astounding. Hell, just being able to run without looking like a newborn giraffe is an accomplishment at that size and age.

Maybe one of the basketball rule changes should have been to increase the height of the rim. I think the rims have been at 10' ever since the game was invented. Players have continued to get taller, but the rim height hasn't changed.

They moved the 3-point line back to dissuade players who shouldn't be shooting them. Move the rim up to dissuade players who shouldn't be dunking.

Six inches ought to do it.

And no, that's not what she said.

I like the rim where it is. Nothing more fun than seeing a "little guy" posterize a big. Yah, I know, Tekele would've been posterizing 7 footers on an 11 foot rim, but he's a freak of nature.

This kid really moves well for his height and should only get better and better.

He looks so springy and comfortable that you almost forget he's not even in high school yet.

Would it be legal to go ahead and offer him now?

I showed my wife (who could care less, but knew he was of recruiting interest). She asked if he was high school, then JUCO, then euro. I told her no, he's in middle school.

I think Cal, or someone connect to him probably has the kid's parent's bank account and routing numbers.
