Picked up an offer from Iowa this weekend. CJ sat out most of the weekend with an ankle injury. It's being rumored that he'll visit Michigan as well.

@MattSteinbrink: CJ Walker tells me that Pitt will get one of his official visits. The junior point guard is working on dates now.

Walker has an offical scheduled for Florida State.

If all of these except Xavier are officals, he only has one left.

Can you tell me what the difference is between an official visit and an unofficial visit? Does it change who he can talk to, or how long he can stay, or??

On an official visit, travel and accommodations are paid by the school. On an unofficial, the player pays his own way.

A school can only provide a certain number of official visits per year, but I don't remember how many. A player can only take five total during his entire recruitment, if I recall correctly.

It's 12 for a school unless it's been changed. An official visit can last two days. As far as I know, there is no time lime on an unofficial.

I would guess he is planning to visit each of the 7 schools on his list, 2 of the closer trips he'll probably take as unofficials. Just a hunch, though.

CJ moves to #82 in ESPN's latest recruiting rankings. I don't believe he was ranked previously.

The ESPN list prior today was only the Top 60. They expanded it to the Top 100.

After his weekend visit to Illinois, two crystal ball predictions made for Illinois. Butler has 4. I've heard that after his visits already scheduled in June, the rest will take place in the Fall.

I know where you're coming from but consider a player like Kevin Love that can't jump over a Haysville phone book, it's not just the athleticism, it's skills, smarts and physical strength. As an example, go back and look at the highlights from last night's NBA finals game. Those rebound battles under the basket late in the game, guys aren't even getting 18" off the ground. But LeBron in particular, got his rebounds from being in position and having so much upper body strength.

In the above article by Indystar, Walker said he will probably cut his list again after July. I'm expect Missouri to be cut and expecting Xavier, Butler and Illinois to be part of the final list. In my mind that leaves WSU, Pitt and Florida State in the air.
