Everyone wants a one-doner 5 star, but you can't build a team with these guys. They only care about themselves and listen to their personal advisers instead of the coaches. Hope we don't become a NBA prep school like KU. Coach M can find a diamond in a dung heap and make them shine and excel as a team players. We will get a great pg and big this round!

Every player is unique and has unique motivations. HC3GM recruits guys with character that put the good of the team first. There are certainly 5 stars that possess that attitude but every Tom, Dick and Harry are recruiting those guys. That makes landing him statistically difficult and drains precious resources when there are lower-key guys with just as much character and a great attitude that are just a little less polished or just haven't been in the spotlight that we have a great shot at landing.
You can bet we are putting out feeler letters to the high star recruits, but unless they show at least a modicum of interest, pursuing them is just too much of a drain on resources. As we continue to kick ass nationally we will start to see those guys showing sincere interest and having success recruiting them. Until then why waste time chasing one and dones when you can find nearly the same talent with a much greater chance of landing them?Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

1) I don't think anyone wants a one and done. I think teams and fans want talent, and sometimes those guys have one foot in the NBA when they step on campus, but most 5* recruits return for their sophomore and junior season.
2) You absolutely can build a team with these guys. Kentucky has done it and even won a national championship.
3) While there are certainly some examples of selfish players, there are many examples of team guys. See Duke.Livin the dream

Obviously GM has proven that he doesn't need to land a 5 star recruit to be tremendously successful.
The only reason I would like to see him land one is that it would further show to future HS recruits across the land that WSU can not only play, but can also successfully recruit against the basketball elite.

Everyone does not want a 5 star one and doner player, and I don't think we could land one in the near future. We, basically, land 2 and 3 star players that have potential to be developed into better players, and the coaching staff is able to do that. I might add that these players we land seem to have great attitudes oncourt and off. We are, though, on the verge of lanidng a 4 star recruit, which I think will happen in the next couple of years. I, personally think, that Cle, Fred, Ron, and Tekele are equal to 4 stars. In the meantime we should just enjoy the incredible ride that the coaching staff has taken us on, and keep wondering what Marshall will do to best the year before.
