Mitchell Ballock 2017 SG 6'4 to Creighton

Ballock has not been offered by the Shocks, but has received interest. Since he is a highly rated Kansas kid, has been mentioned in other threads and has a small connection to Wichita State, I thought we would give him his own thread just to keep an eye on him. Ballock is a huge chickenhawk fan (goes to their games, sits behind the bench), so I don't know how much of a shot WSU or any other program has at him.

I am late on this one but read some of the info from the first post.

He says, "...and also I want to play for a school that’s basketball-oriented... That basketball is the main thing, I don’t want to go to a school where football is more important than basketball,” and yet lists Oklahoma as a school that is strongly talking to him. Hmmm...

If he comes in on a visit, just have Conner be his host to give him a true feel for what goes on in Larryville.

Beating the bubbles (badly) in complete humiliation style in March Madness still won't get kids from Kansas to waiver much on choosing between the two schools. At Wichita St. you have to actually WORK HARD for success. Something amiss in today's youth. In bubbleville...you simply show-up, audition for a minute, help a guy adjust his wig every once in a while...and then finally get to take a much needed long break.

But.....you do get to win the Big-12 quite easily every year. So I guess they got that going for 'em. I mean...if that's all you want to accomplish.

I hope my sarcasm meter is just broken. I enjoyed the beatdown as much as anyone, and I think our guys also work as hard as anyone, but if you're implying that Self and their players don't work hard, you are dead wrong.
