Unfortunately he made up for it in the scoring department.

Don't know if that's unfortunate, unless you're rooting against them, I guess.

He didn't make up for it enough to get past the 1st weekend of the tournament. Say what you want, as he was/is a prolific scorer, but there is more to winning basketball games than avg. 25ppg.

Any problems that Creighton had originated from sources other than McDermott. I'd also say that not making it out of the first weekend of the tournament is probably not the measure we want to look at for evaluating a particular players value.

I'm not advocating using that benchmark as a sole indicator of a player's value. But I do think it should be a part of the evaluation. Winning and winning when it matters has value.

Regardless, this guard looks talented. Will be interesting to see where he ends up.

                    A) Glad he chose Creighton, rather I should say I didn't see any value added here, although if coaches where recruiting him then they obviously did.

                    B) love that he is holding up a "runner up" trophy from the big east on instagram, too funny

That suits me just fine. Maybe the coaching staff was looking at him, but a 5'10" PG with "Daddy" issues, who thinks he belongs at a higher level than where he was recruited is not high on my pirority list.

Austin Chatman is better than FVV according to Creighton fans so that definitely couldn't have factored into his decision.

Good to see sCUm fans remained drunk after leaving the Valley. It's important to play to your strengths.

Well, Chatman's gloriousness was just overshadowed by The Doug, whereas FVV had such lesser lights as Early, Baker, et al., around him and thus was able to shine through to the All-American voters. No doubt Chatman will be a Bob Cousy contender next year with McDermott gone.

Contender? I think they've already voted him the winner.
