Baptiste looks like the player we thought Orukpe could become. With the wings Marshall has coming in this year, a HS big would fit REALLY well.

Looking ahead, it appears Marshall needs to sign a PG for the 2016 class. It's a bit surreal to think in terms of specific positions that are needed two years down the road. Normally, the thought is what spot has to be filled next year.

Marshall appears to be about 2 years down the road for what positions need to be filled. Well, except for the fact that about everybody needs a post player every year - there aren't a lot of them to go around. When you do sign a good post player, they tend to go NBA early.

Since every school seems to need post players every year, I could deal with having a few that would leave early. Doesn't really change anything - including winning a lot of games.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I would give the left one for 7. I might throw in the right, if he stays more than one year.

I've been saying the same lately. What remaining big man wouldn't want to play with top 2-3 backcourt in the nation uner the tutelage of Coach Marshall? I mean who is going to feed you the rock at a place like lowrents? I realize I'm not completely objective but what more could you want?

Really doesn't make a lot of sense does it??? Guess I'm too old these days to figure out what a 17 year old is possibly thinking.

Djery Baptiste, Prestonwood Christian Academy, Plano, Texas: At 6-11, the Haitian big man really drew rave reviews from several analysts. At least one outspoken scout claimed Baptiste was the β€œtop player in the camp.” The thick post seemed to peak with his play on Friday, owning the paint, but did demonstrate skills at both ends of the floor in the all-star game.
