If I recall, Kyle signed with Bill Self at Illinois, but Bill later took the KU job. In walks Bruce Weber at Illinois and here comes Kyle to WSU. Kyle Wilson was a playa indeed. I am beyond impressed with the way our Coaching Staff finds such good and talented "under the radar" team players that lock into the Marshall plan and improve and develop as players year after year. This player intriques me.

Kyle did play one year for Bill Self and then transferred to get closer to family. It had nothing to do with Bill Self leaving and more to do with some bouts of anxiety and depression that he was dealing with. Yes, Kyle was a very, very good player for us...probably a bit out of position, having to play more 5 when he was a senior. He had such a sweet stroke.
