Saw a tweet that Sky Williams is in Florida training at same place where Cle's most recent video was completed. His Twitter sky_the_limit13 has a pic with Sky and Scottie Wilbikin of Florida. Nice to see that our walkons are willing to work this hard. I don't know if it will translate to playing time, but will translate to better practice player and teammate.

1. I am confused.
2. Is Sky on the team?
3. Is he a redshirt?
4. Is he eligible to play in the '14-'15 season?
5. How many years of eligibility?
6. Lastly, is there a possibility that he will earn a scholarship?
Thanks in advance."Prediction is very difficult, especially if it is about the future."

Sky walked on as a transfer mid-season last year and couldn't play because of standard transfer rules. He is going to be on the team and eligible to play in 14-15 as a walk-on. There has not been any public discussion of him receiving a scholarship and I think he will remain a walk-on.Shocker Nation, NYC

Does a kid really go do that if coach didn't encourage it? ...and does coach encourage that if he sees him as someone who will never play? hmmmmKung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

I also think that Cle and Sky are very, very good friends. Sky went down there to train with Cle and just hang out with him in South Florida. Everyone needs people they can trust in their circle. The mountains are calling, and I must go.

I suppose it's always possible for a walk-on to earn a scholarship based on performance at practices and in games. But he won't be on scholarship next year for sure.

I don't recall how much actual reported information we've had on this, but it seems likely that his friendship and contact with Cle are what brought Sky to WSU in the first place. So what Sky is able to do here in the future and how he fits into the program will be up to him, but he certainly has up-close first hand knowledge of a Shocker success story.
