    Anything new on Sky Williams???
Is he on the team or what???

If somebody doesn't come up with something, we might have to fire somebody.

Your reputations are on the line.
Are you in the know or not???

He is on the team. A walk on for now. No idea at all if and when he will become eligible or if it even matters much to anyone besides JR Simon.

@PaulS:uellentrop: WSU has added Sky Williams, a guard, as a practice player. Not eligible to play. Williams rooms with several Shockers.
@PaulS:uellentrop: WSU coach Gregg Marshall said he needed a practice body and Williams has played pickup games with the team.

Paul Suellentrop just confirmed via twitter that Sky is a walk-on, will practice but is not eligible to play.

I think he needs one year of WSU residency. I assume he enrolled at 2nd semester so he should be eligible 2nd semester next year.

                    Sky

This thread has a few confusing aspects to it to say the least. On page 1, someone reported that the Manhattan College board showed that he was no longer on the roster as of Dec 2012. Later on, there is a post showing the Manhattan schedule for their 2013 schedule to date that shows Sky Williams DNP in any of those games. So, if he wasn't on the roster, I could understand that. Was he really at Manhattan College for the year of 2013 at all? If so, why does he have to wait a year to become eligible at WSU as a walk-on?

I know we get excited about a 6'2" pg who set the record number of points for his high school, but I think this is a pretty simple case of Marshall adding a practice player, nothing more. Perhaps he becomes an official walk on next year, but our immediate need is somebody who can go hard in practice while a couple of guys recover from injuries.

Sounds like he has been around the guys a lot already playing in pickup games, so it makes sense to bring him out. Hey, maybe if he is that good of a scorer we can use him to mimic the Colt Ryans and Jeremy Ingrams of the world.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.
