Here it says he was a walk on. Not for sure but reading between the lines I think he qualified late and that is maybe the reason he was a walk on, no scholarships left.

Checking the Manhattan message board, I saw a poster mention in December of 2012 that Williams was no longer on the roster.

Probably the only question is walk on or scholarship.

Well then, does he play next semester or next year?

            Rather surprising.

I think he would be eligible now.

Wouldn't he have been on the roster for the last two games if he were already eligible?

My thinking is that he's just been accepted as a walk-on and has started practicing with the team. Or, he's enrolled in school so he can join the team and be eligible next season.

Upon further study of the transfer rules, I believe he needs a year of residency at WSU to be eligible.

TUCKAHOE, N.Y. -- Sky Williams, the all-time leading scorer in Tuckahoe High School basketball history, will attend Manhattan College in the fall as a preferred walk-on with hopes of earning a full scholarship.
