I did some figgurin' and he ended up playing about 14.31 mins per game over the last 9 games, and his per 40 ppg and per 40 rpg did not change ... they were still about 17 ppg and 15.8 rpg per 40. That 14.31 was only missing a couple of games data, but I doubt it would change much.
So he ended up taking some significant playing time away from a couple of seniors that were playing ahead of him and put up pretty solid numbers for the PT he was getting, really.
“Our system wasn’t designed for him,” Payne said. “We’re trapping and running all over the court. I hadn’t seen him play. We didn’t know how good he was.”

Bush didn't play until the 4th game of the season. Not knowing when he may become eligible, the coach may have built his playbook around what he knew he had and not what he may have sometime, if ever. I also noticed that their roster doesn't give heights, but one of their top players, a senior forward (they listed no centers) didn't play after 12/6/12 and a sophomore forward, not after 1/21/13. I don't know how they work it at that level, but Bush may not have been involved in official practices until eligible either.

With the new rules, a 7' "Eraser" hanging out around the basket is a good thing.
I'm not buying that a legitimate 7' D1 player didn't get minutes at the NAIA level because there were 2 Seniors in front of him at his position. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Kilgore played it's first game against a Stephen F Austin club team (yes, really).
No mention of Wamukota in the game recap.
Kilgore is ranked #6 in the pre-season NJCAA poll. And based on their scores and schedule page, you can watch their games live.

I finally found a box score for Kilgore vs. SFA Club.
Wamukota started, playing 15 minutes. 5 points (2/2 FG, 1/1 FT), 5 boards, 2 blocks, 2 TOs, 1 steal, 1 foul.

And I bet that club team didn't have anyone who could come close to matching up with juco post players, either by ability or size.
For reference, EO averaged 5 pts, 6 rebs, 3.3 blocks and 1.5 TOs his one year at TRCC.
