  • We will have playing time available as we lose Early, Chadrack, and Coleby to graduation.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

      1. He has a nice body. Reminds me of a tight end.

My understanding is that the ACC has stricter academic requirements for JUCO transfers than most conferences.

If so, that's a good sign for his academics.

I also don't think FSU is a true competitor for any recruit WSU wants. I love FSU, but in basketball, we're a mid-major, WSU isn't. I don't care what conferences we play in.

(Also, if we're betting on someone to not be on the team next year that we think will be, I'd put my money on a current recruit not making grades.)

This is also my #1 guess for our current recruiting.

          • Who wouldn't make the grades? I haven't heard anything about any possible issues. Our prep student should be good, JUCO's should be good. Hope it's not Hamilton.

I have no idea. But if we're looking at the options of "recruit not making grades," "current player going pro early," "current player being talked into leaving," etc., grades looks like the most likely option. Just playing the percentages, that's the most likely option, and it's happened to us regularly.

My guess would be "none of the above". If anyone left, it would be because they felt like they wouldn't get much playing time next year. I don't know who that could be though. The only ones that don't get much playing time right now are the walk-ons.

                • Add another to the list:

                  Brad Winton @JucoRecruiting
Louisville is the latest school to show interest in Willie Atwood (6-8/F/2014) of Connors State.

                  • Between Carter coming back and Shaq starting up next year, I'm really feeling good about our chances to keep this train rolling. We have a 7 footer coming in and some serious talent with Kelly, Hamilton and Brown to fill in at the 3 and 4. I hope Green is dedicated in the offseason because he has the inside track on getting more minutes due to his knowledge of the system. I too, don't really see where Atwood fits unless he have a problem with one of our other recruits.

he would fit in as a starter at the 4 or 5

Absolutely he fits as a starter. We all are obviously not privy to the closed door discussion around where this scholy will come from. Its all guess work at this point, but it wouldn't surprise me if a current roster member finds a new home elsewhere that better fits his situation, like Jake White did.

                        • We go through this every year; and every year one or two guys leave, and it's been that way forever.

                          • “@JucoRecruiting: Washington, TCU and Wichita State will be in Wednesday to watch Trey Dickerson (6-1/PG/2014) of Williston State.”

Looks like we're checking out his buddy now

                            • Apparently his buddy isn't bad either. Ranked top Juco PG for what it's worth. http://bit.ly/1fe16Nb

                              • We've actually been recruiting Dickerson since last fall, but there hasn't been any real mentions the past month. But we do have a recruiting topic for him:
