I don't know Willie Atwood. Maybe some of you do or some of you have visited with his best friend, or some of you know an Assistant Coach who has confided in you. But if you are the type of person to base an opinion of someone else off of twitter, or Shockernet, or the like is humorous and it is a sad commentary on the way we spend our spare time trying to have fun.

Sometimes it's just a gut "feel". Simple as that. It would be AWESOME if Willie came to Wichita St.!!! Probably a 50/50% chance!!!

The only reason I bring this up is that it used to be that a person wanted to visit with a person face to face to be able to "size them up" referring to their demeanor. Now a person's demeanor can be sized up by viewing "twitter". I do agree that words matter and if a person is "tweeting" profanely, or talking about breaking the law, etc. this would reflect bad on someone. But if you are viewing a persons demeanor as selfish, the words should have to be pretty obvious to make such a charge. I haven't seen anything from Willie that would indicate selfishness.

Our coaches have made a few mistakes regarding character probly when they have taken a chance on a good player. But they say that they do look character in a major way when recruiting. I think that anyone can look at Tweets and make a good evaluation when coaches are meeting with them face to face is humorous. Just my take.

Dickerson has been the one pushing the package deal. Other than one "go along for the fun of it" tweet from Atwood a month ago, I haven't seen anything to confirm that Willie is on board with the idea.

Sometimes when a player is interested in a package deal it's because he has the leverage and wants his friend or relative to be brought along; sometimes it's because he's the one hoping to hitch a ride along with another player whose position or skills would generate greater demand. In this case, although from all indications Dickerson is a fine player, I suspect that Atwood's size, skills, and performance make it a little bit more of the latter.

AZ's gut feeling is probably from a bad burrito. Rolaids can help with that.

Funny how things turn out. Many thought Dickerson and Atwood were the end-all. 4-Star juco transfer Atwood averaging 2 points and 2 boards for a below average ASU.

Willie's playing time has gotten less and less. First 10 games, averaged just under 17 mpg, next 6 games was 11 mpg + one "dnp", and the last 9 games are less than 6 mpg + one "dnp".
