        Verbals to Appalachian State

Sipsey Valley High School senior Rasheed Worrell decided he saw what he wanted on Sunday when he committed to Appalachian State. The Alabama Celtics AAU alum says, “I’m walking into a great situation.”
The 6’8” power forward took his official visit up the mountain this weekend, and said, “I’m going into a play style where I’m going to fit right in. The connections the staff has and the family environment, really stood out.” Worrell said he really enjoyed the campus as well, “It was kind of knit together, and everything looked new or to be under construction.”

Looks like his visit here is going to pay off as Jans just announced he is going to Bowling Green.

I think we should just invite Bowling Green to the MVC now. I mean give it a few years and Jans wil have them where they need be

Not exactly related to Worrell, but maybe Bowling Green can join the Valley as a replacement when WSU leaves for bigger and better things.

Why would they? Without WSU, the Valley is not as good as the MAC and would be hard pressed to have 5 teams in the top 100 with another just outside it.

Maybe last season. But for the next few years the valley will be a multiple bid league. Lots of good young talent and a few very good coaches.
