Why would anyone want to go to smu? I mean larry brown is probably a fine coach but smu is only a heart attack away from having Jank as their head coach. That worked out well for isu red.

While probably not a gold star issue with most recruits, SMU is a very fine academic institution.

I have never bought off on the idea that Coach Jankovich is next in line.

On the other hand, I could be dead wrong. http://espn.go.com/dallas/ncb/story/...-coach-waiting

I imagine most players have "will the coach have a heart attack or not?" right at the top of their list.

Wilkins talks about the positives in his five finalists. He might not need all of his five visits. For WSU, the relationship he's built with the coaching staff stands out. Not having football means the school is all hoops, something that Wilkins likes a great deal. "In my mind, they're all about basketball...I want to go to where basketball is a big deal."

If his finalists are Memphis, Miami, SMU, Virginia & Wichita State, I'd say he really only has two "basketball" schools to choose from

On SMU being a one year wonder or starting to build a program.

Well, they probably have more room since top 10 Myles Turner is now interested in visiting SMU because of Mudiay's commitment.

By next weekend I think they mean September 6th. That is when Hurt is scheduled for Miami. With soany going, aaMiami must have a home.football game. Wilkins is scheduled to visit Virginia this weekend.

@InsideTheArc: 2014 F Isaiah Wilkins tells me he will be visiting Miami next weekend. He joins Larrier, Hurt and Uceda.

Some guys like football and the big-time sports atmosphere; others would rather be part of the marquee program at their school and would prefer not to risk being overshadowed by football -- just depends on the individual player. Who knows with Wilkins?

His Virginia trip starts tomorrow. If he loves it, he doesn't see why he wouldn't end the trip with a commitment. He already said he may not need all his trips.

E-mail this quote to Marshall. He and staff can put on the full court press today and tomorrow before he leaves. He needs to wait to commit. :) It sounds like he may be leaning that way anyway.
