I was thinking about Trevon Evans when I typed that moronic comment. I since edited. Sorry.

No problem. I thought that might be the case.

Which case? That he made a mistake or he was a moron?

That he might be confusing him with Evans.

Who doesn't have their career high in points against Campus? I had mine against them.

Augusta. There wasn't much need for a 6-2, 140lb PF on a team that didn't have a starter under 6-5 and brought three more off the bench in the 6-5 + range.

Talked to Lock today, he says this kid "has it." Shoots with either hand in close, and does it naturally. A legit skywalker, and already a pretty good body for a guy who is just a kid. Has seen him many times, and he is not a guy who impresses easily.

Were you there when Coach Taylor was there?

Nope. Played for Coach Jackson and graduated in 96. I believe Taylor came a couple of years later. My junior year (last year I played) we started 6-5, 6-6, 6-6, 6-5, and 6-8 and brought in underclassmen that were 6-5, 6-8, 6-9 (at least that was their height at the next level). All 8 were offered basketball scholarships upon graduation. One was a walk-on at KU and got a F4 ring playing with future NBAers Collison, Gooden, and Heinrich. Two more were AAs at lower levels.

Ahh gotcha, yea he started in 98 I believe. He was definitely their in 99 when El Dorado and Augusta both made the state tournament I think that was the year).

I graduated in 2012 and we were fairly mediocre at El Do but the program has been on an upward tick (whenI started playing ;) ) and I do take pride in being a part of that.

That Augusta line-up you were on the team with would be HUGE for most AVCTL teams these days.

I believe we won state in 99. We lost two games my senior year in 96 (one being the 4A State final). We were very tall and very skinny except for our 6-5 PF who was 230 and ran a 4.4 40. He was recruited to Harvard to play basketball and football, but went to KU to play baseball and was an All-conference center fielder. His younger brother was the 6-9 KU walk-on.
