I'm with you,and I have heard Coach Marshall say he wants teachable kids and,IMHO, that may preclude the five-stars.

Not all 4*/5* leave for the NBA right away. It takes some of them a few years.

You just don't see too many 5 star recruits who are as unselfish as our guys are. That are willing to put personal gains aside for the good of the team, and can play the type of defense we play. With the success of ourselves, Butler, VCU, George Mason and others, I'm certain eventually a team that recruits the best players for a system will win a NC.

No, no, no. He said the basketball IQ of Ron or Fred. That is not Michael Jordan. Michael was all about Michael. If you go back and watch his Hall of Fame speech he went after coach Dean Smith for not letting him shoot more.

We want basketball IQ like Ron or Fred, that would be Larry Bird, Oscar Robinson, Bill Russell, or Dave Stallworth.

For example, there was a great player from Wichita South many years ago that would have been a perfect fit for coach Marshall. I hope some of you remember a kid named Johnny Murdock. He was just so smart on the court.

I don't disagree in the slightest with 3G's ability to handle it, but his happiness in having to deal with it is another matter entirely.

I don't know how up to date this is, but it say, "Murdock lives in his hometown and works for the Wichita school district and also coaches youth basketball teams."

It does seem to me that we are getting more interest and signing more 3 stars then we used to. I hope we can get to a point where all we sign is 3-4 stars sprinkled with a 5 star here and there, that ALL are hard working and willing to play within the system. We would be unstoppable.

If we do that we miss out on Baker and Cotton.

Marshall seems to have his own mental star system in which guys like Baker and Cotton get more than other recruiters give them. He and his staff will make the right choice.
