  • Perry "PJ" Dozier '15 pg 6-4

The 6-4 pg at Columbia South Carolina (Spring Valley) has interest from the Shockers. Competition very tough however and he already has five schools sticking out, Kentucky, Kansas, Ohio State, South Carolina and Clemson. All except Kentucky have offered the Rivals' four star. His father and uncle played at South Carolina.

Ironically, the Shockers were in the final group of schools competing for the Dozier Twins prior to their choosing South Carolina in the mid 80's.

I recall. We got the Praylow twins instead.

I think there was another set of twins, not the Doziers, we recruited who went somewhere else the year we got the Praylows.

Edit- Maybe that was them. This is Perry Jr. Does anybody remember the first name of the other twin.

Perry and Terry Dozier was a set of twins from the DC area. They were higher rated (Top 100's) than the Praylow's (who were very good players). We signed the Praylow's and Grayer who was a Top 100 player also.

I really thought we were going to sign the Dozier twins many moons ago. Even so, getting the Praylows' was indeed the better move as it turn out.

Another throwback -- first they lost big D. (Denzel) Bowles only to get small D. (D.J. -- what the heck is his name, anyway?) Bowles a few years later. Now they're dipping back a few decades in time, trying to get the younger generation Perry Dozier after not getting Perry (and Terry) years ago.

Who's next -- does Simmie Hill have a grandson, maybe?

Don't forget Cheese Johnson's son (though he is really struggling). Jason Perez have any sons? How old is Marshall's boy?

From what I hear, I don't think the son of 3G will be a D1 player

Dozier says he is hearing the most from Ohio State, KU, Indiana, South Carolina, WSU, Clemson, Georgia, UNC and NC State.
