  • Dante Maddox Jr. 6'2 G Toledo Grad-Transfer

This kid does a lot of things well. 40% from three. Good assist rate and very good A/TO. Gets to the rim at a decent clip. Appears to be a plus defender. I believe we are interested. I'm sure some big programs will be interested, but maybe we can entice him here to be "the man."

He's probably not the pass-first PG we covet, but could be our Rogers replacement at SG, even if a little undersized. He would definitely be an upgrade from Rogers in the area of ball-handling.

His shot mechanics are slow with a low release point that won't project as well at "this level". Not that he's a bad shooter. We certainly need people to knock down open 3s, to start with.

Dam*! Defiantly not a "one trick pony". Shoots 3's from FVV range, can drive the ball, and (impressively) dunk the ball. Good stat line, even if it is the Mid-American Conference. 4.3 RPG, 2.8 assists/ 1.6 TO, line is 43.8% FG, 40.2% 3pt, and 86.2% FT. From the stats, it looks like he played the 2.

Don't believe he's the PG (per say). From the stats, it looks like their top 3 players (scoring-wise), all had similar stats and size (6'2", 6'4", 6'2").
