  • Jaylen Curry, 6-2 PG, 2023

A top-100 kid, but just a 2-star according to VerbalCommits. His list of offers looks more like what you'd expect from a 3 or 4 star, top-100 player.

We're in a weird time for recruiting as we hope to have an entirely new staff by the spring signing period.

Verbal Commits star rating is garbage. Almost everyone just gets 2 stars.

4 star on 247 Sports (#90 in the class) and 3 star on Rivals (#141 in the class).

Jaylen Curry is a 6-0, 155-pound Point Guard from Charlotte, NC. He attends Calvary Christian Academy in Fort Lauderdale, FL

PG should be a high priority for whoever our coach is going to be

We also need some "good bigs" to help Kenny P. Inside.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

we probably need every position, honestly. We have 2-3 players that we really need to bring back and if we can't bring them back we need a full roster.

You're not wrong. I wouldn't be surprised if we only bring back a couple scholarship players, which means we're going to need everything.

Let's just hope Brown isn't the one doing it.

One of those 2-3 isn’t even on scholarship.

Here is where our current performance and coaching situation will work strongly against us, unfortunately.

At least we can offer playing time!

I think any new coach we hire at the end of the season will have a better chance of signing any quality players currently being recruited than our current coaching staff.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

I doubt WSU has a real shot, doubly so if they change coaches, but this would be a nice addition to the program.
