Offered by Auburn. He's been talking the most to Auburn, Indiana State, Michigan State and Xavier.

3 of these things belong together. 1 of these things is not the same. (I had to think of the sesame street song)

Could be either them or Indiana State depending on what category you use. Auburn hasn't been good for quite some time right?

I figured I had a 50/50 shot. I can't recall the last time Auburn was good though. But I suppose they have conference affiliation on their side.

Maybe it should of been two of these teams belong together. Two of these teams are not the same.

Kid grew up in Indy, might be a lifelong fan, maybe went to their camps his entire life. Strange to hear mid-major bias on the board.

It's not bias. I just think it is really strange seeing ISU listed with Michigan St. That's all.

It's mid-major bias. Exactly what people were saying about us when Ellis listed us as a finalist. Ex-fuggin-zactly.

If he is from Indiana then fine. But what has ISU done lately compared to Xavier and Michigan St? You can say what you want but I have no mid-major biases. If he picks ISU then thats great for the trees. But when I saw that list initially, ISU atuck out mainly because they haven't done anything.

Over reacting, pin. No mid major bias here. Michigan St > Xavier, Auburn, IN St, Xavier > Auburn, IN St, Auburn > In St (even if only by name association).

By the way, as much as we don't like it, KU > WSU, just like Gonzaga > WSU, and Actual Continued Quality Results > Continued Money Spent, Chartered Flights, High Salary Coach with spotty results.

Sometime, we will need to get over this major/mid major thing. It's tiresome. Plain and simple, schools are nationally recognised by the conference they are in. Like it or not, the Valley (or the WCC) are not in the same level as the ACC, SEC, MWC, or Atl-10, just like the MWC/Atl-10 are not the same level as the ACC, SEC. Is that fair? No. Some schools get to be "majors" just by association. Others have to earn it. However, Gonzaga in the WCC is considered a major player due to what they have actually done. WSU and CU are a step behind that. They have the look of a major, but not yet the results.

IN St has neither the results or the look of a major. You may call them whatever you like.

Thank you. I didn't realize I was pushing buttons when I started that. You hit the nail on the head with your analysis.

Spin away. It's the same mid-major bias most Shockernetters cry about.

If you find anything in my post untrue, please point it out with facts. Otherwise, I'm not the one spinning or crying. Nationally, it is what it is whether SN'rs like it or not. In a non-BCS conference, a team does not buy themselves into being considered a major player nationally.
