Lufile had stops at Chipola and Vincennes before going to Coffeyville. He may had some behavioral problems at Vincennes according to the Indiana State Board. The Trees offered him sometime ago. Early in the year at Coffeyville he was averaging around 12ppg and 7rpg. He is originally from Canada. He's JucoJuntion's 36th ranked player.

Appears to have some range which never sucks. Would like to see some footage from the last two years though.

I want whoever can help. All I've seen of Godfrey is some transition dunks. Can he play with his back to the basket?

If we're going to sign a big, it'd be nice to have someone who can play on the block with their back to the basket. We lose both of our centers after this coming season. Henry may be here. But he'll be young and developing. Watkins is a little shorter than we'd like, but capable on the block. If we're getting another big, it needs to be someone who can play down low.

I haven't seen much from this guy or Godfrey. 6'9" 245 is nice size though and looks like a player who can bang. If we're getting another player, I want someone who can establish position on the block and go to work. If they can also step out and shoot, that's a bonus. Same thing for if they can get out in transition and finish on the break. Priority one is a post presence.

Among the few names we haven't seen in this forum...

Lufile had some fairly remarkable numbers at Coffeyville last year: 59% from the field and 3-8 on the year from three, plus a team-leading 8.4 rebounds per game. But he shot 43% (yes, Ricky, that's 43%!) from the line on almost five free throws per game, which suggests that his range stops somewhere short of 15 feet (although apparently it resumes at around 20, given his three three-pointers). Does anyone on the current staff know how to get in touch with Henry Carr?

I saw the young man play yesterday. He is a manchild, very athletic and can bang with the with the opponents post players in the lane. He was up aginst EO most of the time and neither one was giving any quarter. Most of his shot were in the lane, but he did hit 2 or 3 from behind the the line. He could play with CH or EO and make a termendous duo.

Good report. Thanks. He sounds like he would, or I hope, will be a big help.

I am curious if landing Nick Wiggins has assisted us in possibly landing this athletic big man. I read an article that both Wiggins and Lufile were at Vincennes together and obvioulsy both canadians and new eachother well if this will assist us in getting him. I did not see a lot on Lufile and did not look like he had a lot of big time offers currently but this article showed there was fair interest from some BCS schools earlier in his career. I think he would be a good get with what I have currently seen pluse he only played two years of highschool basketball and soccer prior which requires some good foot work.

Here is a name to remember: Chadrack Lufile. Fans might want to file that name away as the 18 year old native of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and current Canadian resident has been drawing interest from college recruiters in the United States. The 6-foot-9+, 235+ pound big man has drawn inquiries from Texas Tech, UNLV, Louisville and Syracuse.
A UNLV assistant coach is quoted (Canadian newspapers must be unaware that college coaches are not allowed to comment on unsigned prospects) in the article saying that Lufile would be a top 25 prospect if he was playing a high-profile prep school. It is likely we will see if that is true next year as the likelihood is he’ll end up at a U.S. prep school nextfall to help him qualify for college admission. For now, he is dominating competition at Assumption High in Burlington and the Hoop Star’s Meteoric Rise is Scoring Plenty of Attention
