  • Henry Thengvall 6'6 G(?) Kapaun (Verbal to WSU)

20/6.5rpg/3.1spg this year as a senior. Anyone know if he's gonna be on scholarship? Good to get local guys home but not exactly a home run if it's on scholarship based on the film. Bit of a slow jumper.

    Film: Henry Thengvall - Hudl

Also held offers from Creighton for Track. Not seeing any other bball interest at all.
Brummett throws, STRUCK HIM OUT! THE SHOCKERS ARE NATIONAL CHAMPIONS! AN UNBELIEVABLE STORY!

And to think you guys were complaining about IB recruiting D2 talent.

Really think this guy is a walk-on. Like local kids in this role. Welcome aboard, Henry!

Would this imply IB has a plan to use up all current scholarships in place?

Thengvall is fresh off a breakout season at Kapaun, where he averaged 20.2 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting 44% from the floor and 86% from the foul line. He was the most dynamic player on a team that won an undefeated City League championship, finished with a 21-2 record and earned the No. 1 seed at the Class 5A state tournament. Thengvall recently earned all-class, all-state honors from The Eagle, giving him the distinction as one of the five best players in Kansas high school basketball this past season.

I just hope he plans to have more than 11 players available including walkons like this year lol ...

Great young man and I like the size he brings as a walkon.

Welcome aboard and congratulations on picking the shockers. History has shown that the Shocks do well when we have several local kids playing for WSU. Go shocks.
