Obviously, there are no minutes to be had at center with Okafor and Plumlee eating up minutes there, so all the minutes to have to be at PF/SF. At PF, the starter is former McD AA/top 25 recruit Amile Jefferson, who is a junior. The problem is that starting SF Justise Winslow, top 10-15 recruit last year, fills a lot of the same role as Semi and takes some of the PF minutes when Duke goes smaller. Here is an article from before the season talking about some of the dynamics:

There may not be many finer athletes in all of college basketball than Duke forward Semi Ojeleye . The Kansas native is an explosive leaper, lightning-fast on the break and boasts a 6'7", 230-pound frame that's already NBA-ready...

I was being a little sarcastic. Blue blood KU lowering themselves to go after a player that in his 2nd year barely cracks the rotation of a sister blue blood. I was actually surprised about how often he throws up a 3.

        I getchya.

I was just thinking here we go again with a "we don't need/won't him" discussion!

I know that wasn't your true intentions though ;)

Apparently Ojeleye couldn't cut it at Duke's level. He'd probably be all-league if he stepped down to KU's level.

Where have I heard this before? Funny the rationalizations people are willing to make to fit their whims.

It's a little humorous to view the way these guys recruit. They get 2-3 Top 20 small forwards/Power Forwards and clog it up for a couple of 4 star players who play similarly, then a couple of them transfer and a couple of others are lottery picks (not because of what they accomplished as Frosh/Sophs but because they can jump and have a high ceiling/potential. Then the school boosters are unhappy because the transfers do great at their new school. Meanwhile the program takes another dip in the polls and loses first round in the NCAA Tourney.

Guess he wanted to make sure he could get PT.

Haha. Creighton. I guess they do have a huge void even this year in the forward position. They are sporting Will Artino and Geoff Groselle, I believe.

Likely the scholarship situation was a factor for some not on the list.
