      Some of you are funny.

This player said that he appreciated that his coach believes in him.

      Some of you go ballistic.

IMO, It is good for a coach to believe in his players.

I don't want players that are afraid to make mistakes, because they will.

It's part of basketball and life.

Watched the video and very impressed with his offense. Has a
lot of bounce and good vertical. Long arms. If he can move those
feet on defense he looks like a keeper to me who would get lots of
        PT.

I read that article and didn't come away with that assumption. I took it that he appreciates that his coach instills confidence in him and encourages him not to get down by missing some shots. That could very easily come from experience with a past coach that didn't convey that. Earlier in the article he said he "wants to be the hardest worker out there" which is great to hear if true. I read an article in maxpreps I think it was where he said he wanted to play for a coach that would teach him a lot because he wanted to coach later (it also said he had a 41 in vertical which would be handy), and he knew he needed to learn to play better D. This staff tends to get guys that work their tails off so if they are going hard after him I think it is safe to assume he would be a team guy.

There is no doubt that young people (if not all of us) say things in such a way as it comes off not as intended. The line "He doesn't care how many I miss so that's probably the biggest thing" does not come off well for either coach or him. Maybe I've seen too much of that locally this year.

Sign me up. I’d love to see what he could do playing off ball from CPJ. That would be an absolutely filthy 1/2 combo to build around.

                12ppg on 47% / 38% in juco doesn’t give me ES vibes.

Yeah I can understand that given what we have seen.

Now if you will excuse me I lost my spider ring and I think it slipped off my finger when I was looking for my free prize in my Cracker Jacks.

Agreed. Would have fit a lot of needs IMO. First of many I am afraid.

We miss on what, 90% to 95% of offers and expressions of interest, including the most highly rated players. No surprise here. The surprise would have been we got him.
