Daniel West

I hope I'm not repeating info on this kid, but I didn't see his name. Daniel West, a 6'1" PG from Saginaw (MI) Saginaw was at one time being recruited by Central Michigan, Western Michigan, Nevada, and Wichita State. He verballed to Bradley, but that fell through. He is averaging 17 Ppg. and 9 assists for an 8-0 team that might be ranked #1 in the state.

I don't. But you never know. I'd like to know why Bradley pulled out. Talent? Grades? Attitude? Something must have come up after the committment.

WSU was recruiting him on November 1, and we are looking to sign 2 more, with one probably being a guard. He is not the only guard WSU is looking at. Those are a couple of indicators.

Why do you think we were recruiting him on November 1?

Because on November 1 and 2 or 3 days ago, WSU was still on his list.

I've put him on our 2008 recruiting list, but not holding my breath about getting him, at least for '08. It appears because of academic / SAT score problems he will probably end up going prep or juco. From what I've seen, Central Michigan might be the only D-1 still looking at him.

The blurb on West by Scout says he is qualified and everything is in order. St. Johns, Cleveland State, SMU, IPFW and Fairfield want to sign him. He is still interested in Bradley. No mention of WSU but it appears other unnamed schools may be interested.
