He looks good. That’s my 2 cents.

I think having 3 west coast schools speaks a lot to where he will most likely end up.

He does go to prep school in Napa. Maybe a trip to Wyldewood Cellars for some Elderberry wine will do the trick.

Tape didn't show any PG skills and too small for a SG....PASS

Don’t get too excited about this kid. Based on these clips he’s a 6’ shooting guard. All I see is a bunch of open 3 point shots. Not impressed.

I am very glad some of you are not coaches based on your "ability" to analyze the tape. Feel free to read the numbers again slowly.

Our needs are size, b ball IQ and shooting. We don't need them all in one player, although it would be nice, but Pope can shoot lights out.

In addition to length & IQ, WSU need someone who can dictate plays i.e. an Alterique Gilbert

I’ll take short guys if they can handle the rock and penetrate the D. Maybe he should put out some highlight tapes that show off these skills.

I’m kinda over getting excited about our recruits and have moved into a more of a skeptic based on what we have right now.

Every interview I've read with him, he really likes the PAC12 and the west coast. Can't imagine we get him.

Wondering if you saw any of the ECU game or pretty much any game Porter has played this season?

That’s fair, Porter is definitely growing more confident and filling that role as the season is going. Having another option (especially if he and/or TE transfer) will be needed.

I agree that it is a bit dangerous to come to conclusions from watching highlight tapes. He certainly won't get as many wide open looks at the next level as he was getting on his highlights.

That said, I would not write him off either and I would not necessarily discount him just because he is only 6 foot tall. This year's AAC Player of the Year may very well be a 6 foot guard not too mention our very own FVV.

This is where the coaching staff earns their chops with in person scouting and evaluation on how a player's game and BBIQ will transition to the next level.
