Laurinburg (N.C.) head coach Billy Reid has made little secret that his 6-foot-7 wing needs to get straight on the academic side before he looks at the college level.


That being said, the athletic Brooklyn native is being courted by a number of schools including Southern Miss, Tennessee and Texas Tech.

The approach that coaches are taking with Smith is more of a wait and see mode for the moment.
